A new weekend, new vandalism

Vandalism

Well here we are now another weekend and I've been vandalized again, this time it wasn't my car but my home.
It's something real stupid but could've cost me and my family a few thousand dollars if I hadn't caught it.
Someone turned on the water hose and pointed it it at a window, the window was the computer room window. I went into the computer room and there was this weird loud sound and I couldn't figure out what it was, I went to look outside at what the sound could possibly be and the carpet near the window was all went and it sounded like there was an heavy downpour of rain outside.

Great the window's leaking I thought.

So I went and got a towel and and put it so the rain wouldn't come in, my wife asked if it was raining outside and I said yes that it was pouring and it was getting in the computer room and the seal on the window was defective or something.
After I went to the front door and looked outside to see how bad the rain was, it didn't look like it was raining! I then went outside and saw that someone had turned on our front hose on and pointed it at the window. If I hadn't checked the computers before going to bed the water damage to the computers would have been bad and not to mention the cost of the water.

Recap

So let's recap, my car has been broken into twice this year and egged twice and now someone tried to flood one of our rooms on the house.

In the last 3 weeks my car has been broken into, egged and now the house thing. I suspect that someone in my neighborhood doesn't like me.
Is it because I'm a foreigner and that I am French?
Or maybe it's because I'm catholic? I know when we moved down here my wife said that The Baptists and Catholics really didn't like each other, until I moved down here I didn't know what a Baptist was and that I needed to not like them.

Ok, Ok, kidding aside I really am afraid that all the things that have happen recently might be because I am French speaking.
But then it could be teenagers going around causing mischief, who knows! It's just that the damage done is costing me and I really don't know if I am being targeted for any particular reason or if it's just random and deep down it's making me nervous.

The funny thing about all of this is that I live in a nice part of the Dallas area and my brother in law said something how crime was high in the inner city and I replied that I'd feel a lot safer living in the inner city. I've lived in inner cities before and I have to confess that I felt a lot safer living there with the druggies, drug dealers and every other time of... than I do living in the suburb. Here in the suburb you don't know who to look out for...
